ANNUAL ROCK CLIMBING

I am very much privileged to welcome our esteemed viewers who would be curious to know about us through this website which would see the light of the day today the 5th October 2014, which is also observed as the "Mountaineering and Adventure Sports Day" in Assam. The Assam Mountaineering Association is the pioneer organization of the North East which has been spearheading to promote mountaineering and other related sports since its inception in 1968. So, it is really a great responsibility of a General Secretary of such a responsible and committed organization to plan and execute various programmes in this direction time to time. I am pleased to inform you all that Assam Mountaineering Association had undertaken many activities in the past where many enthusiastic youths took part and practically learnt valuable lessons on mountaineering, rock climbing and to live in harmony with our mother nature. These training imbibed in them a sense of self confidence and leadership qualities too. We owe our sincere gratitude to the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Assam for their financial assistance to us. I also acknowledge gratefully that Sri Satyen Sarma, President of AMA was always ready and eager to provide me with his valuable counsels and guidance even during odd hours to implement all these programmes successfully. No praise is enough for other members, seniors and juniors alike, who had shed lots of sweat to train our young aspirants in these programmes. Together we pledge to do our utmost to live up to our commitment and responsibilities in the coming days.

HAPPY VIEWING
LONG LIVE ASSAM MOUNTAINEERING ASSOCIATION.
